CATHERINE SLUTER, DIRECTOR OF TENNIS

Catherine Sluter (OQ 2001 and Director of Tennis) organised the annual OQ Hockey Match, which was a great evening! Here is her rundown of the match:

The OQ team was small but mighty and was made up of Catherine Sluter, Victoria Treadgold (OQ 2009), Emily Hau (OQ 2010), Olivia Baines (OQ 2017), Jemima Bisseker (OQ 2021), Holly Dench (OQ 2022) and Sofia Martin (OQ 2023).

For the first half the OQs played as a team with a couple of the younger 1st XI players and Catherine Sluter opened up the scoring with an early goal. It was end-to-end, with Sofia Martin (OQ) then following on with another goal.

The current first XI then sprang into action gaining a goal back before Jemima Bisseker (OQ) scored two fantastic goals, making the first half 4-1 to the OQs.

In the second half the teams were mixed, and OQ sisters Holly Dench and Jemima Bisseker joined the 1st XI with Sofia to mix up the teams and allow sisters to play together.

The second half finished 3-2 to the OQ sisters and U6 1st XI team, with the scorers being Vicky Treadgold, Sofia Martin, Catherine Sluter & Holly Dench.

A fantastic evening with lots of OQ spectators coming back to watch – Emma Fazakerly, Lucy Fishpool, Miche Bloch, Grace Best, Ellen McGuigan to name a few.
